Preheater, cooling tower and raw mill

Posted in: , on 28. Jan. 2007 - 16:03

Dears,

there is cement line as below:

the exhausted air from preheater with 360 deg. C pass through cooling tower become 150-200 deg. C then preheater fan and raw mill and finally electrofilter and fan subsequently.

due to insufficient water, the cooling tower should be removed so baghouse should be installed instead of electrofilter.

as the air should be cooled at least because of baghouse:

1- can we remove the cooling tower? it doesn't have any effect on the process?

2- what is the general ways for cooling air in this part of the cement line?

3- what is the maximum allowable raw mill inlet temperature?

if there is any sources for cement line designing, please inform me.

thanks,

Masoomeh

Bag House Inlet Temperature Reduction

Posted on 4. Mar. 2007 - 01:28

Dear Sirs,

You can introduce fresh air damper at inlet duct of bag house considerably before thermocouple. this will help in reducing hot gas temperature entering bag house.
