You shoul repeat this procedure by searching for "ship unloader" and other related terms..

Then you may want to go to the Forum search window on the Powder/Bulk Portal website, and insert your search word.

Then you should have a look into the Who's Who and find out if some experts offer services in the field of "ship and barge unloaders".

You will come to: http://www.bulk-online.com/WHO/index.php?inc=28 and must study further.

Then you should try if there are any articles listed in the eLibrary. Insert your search word "ship unloader" into the search window at http://www.bulk-online.com/ELIB/index.php?inc=3

and you will find some 37 references. Perhaps some of them refer to "barge unloaders".

Another source of information will be the Bookshop on this website. If you search a little, you will find these book titles:

Bulk Port Development Design & Operation,1986

Bulk Ports, Shiploading & Unloading,1994

Bulk Ports, Shiploading & Unloading,2000

Continuous Ship Unloading & Self Unloading Ships & Vessels,1986

You can look up the Contents pages of each book, and you can go to your Library and see if they have this book on stock. Almost all books are still available from Trans Tech Publications Germany, and you can order online.

The contents of these books are a collection of articles published in the leading technical journal "bulk solids handling" also published by Trans Tech Publications, see https://edir.bulk-online.com/oldedir...ct/200333.htm. You can order a free sample copy of this journal on http://www.bulk-online.com/samplecopy/samplecopy.php.

There is much more information available, and there are probably all "barge unloader" companies worldwide listed in the eDirectory, but several are not yet represented with a detailed listing, and therefore cannot be found readily.

All the best for your search!

Ferdinand Furtado,

Typically these are belt-on-belt systems. You should contact DSI International, Continental Conveyor, or Metso.
