Increasing bulk density

We want to increase bulk density of our product.

Can you recommend us away how can we increase bulk density of a product.

Also can you give which process increases most bulk density.

(fluized bed,spray dry,drum,etc.)

CCM:

Make a cake. You need to fill the voids. Obviously, the maximum density is a total solid. THerefore, the product size distribution need to be included in the optimal equation. Once the optimal size distribution is achieved, then you need to consolidate the product with a compactor either in batch or a continuous process. A roller press might do the trick. However, you gave no details. Futher discussion may be futile.

In making a cake, you need to add a small amount of liquid.

It would be helpful if you provided a little bit more information about your product. It sounds like you have a powder of some sort.

One machine that provides a high particle density from a powder as well as good flowability is an intensive mixer-pelletizer. This may or may not be applicable to your process.

Dear Sir,

I am from Grenzebach BSH, we can help you with our VACUPRESS Compactor to increase the bulk density of powdery products finer than 40 µm.

We can offer you a free of cost pre compaction test for your powder.

Best regards,

Hello CCM,

We are able to increase bulk density with a small amount of water by granulation.

Pls. contact me guenter.hessling@eirich.de or look at www.eirich.com to get the address of the Eirich company/agency which is responsible for your country.

Regards

I have used the test facilities at Eirich on numerous occassions and can say that they have vast experience in this field.

It was this testwork that prompted my earlier reply in this thread.
