I am interested in data for comparing mix efficiency of air blenders to mechanical mixers. My comapny uses both types for granular glass batches but has no data to show that one type is more effective than the other. More effective to me means a more homogeneous batch (less sample to sample variation) in less time.
Mechaincal type mixers are much easier to stop and obtain samples to test the mix. Air blenders, by their sealed nature and geometry, are very difficult to open and sample.
