Dear Mr. Afrim,

To me it looks pipe conveyor may be neat installation, as it will be conveying the material in the condition as it is.

If you are going to use the material mixed with water, at discharge end, then possibly hydraulic conveying may have upper hand. However, if you have to again separate the water and the material, then it may become clumsy affair for a short distance of 4 kms.

Anyway, you can obtain quotations for both the systems and see its technical & commercial suitability together with land requirements, water management etc.

Dear Mr. Afrim,

Another altarnative could be pouch belt conveyor.

We design and manufacture the Spaans E-B S Conveyor, a belt conveyor in which the belt totally encloses the conveyed product.

The system can easily make curves (horizontal as well as vertical) and go up steep inclines (steeper than a conventional belt conveyor).

The system can be equipped with multiple loading stations if desired. also multiple discharge points are possible.

The belt tension is very low in this system. This is because it is driven by a so-called multi-point drive. Multiple drive units are devided along the whole conveyor route. Using this multi-point drive system results in the low belt tension --> less wear on the belt.

Also as a result of the multi-point drive system the length of the system is virtually unlimited.

Dear Mr. Afrim,

looking onto your material description it seems to be fly ash.

We have build several Pipe Conveyors in Greece and also in the Czech Republic for fly ash and/or wet ash transport at power plants and could show you some references.

The advantage of the Pipe Conveyor is first to have a clean conveying route at a lower level of power consumption and second to be independent of conveying wet or fly ash.
