There have been a lot of Asian belting imported into the US during the last few years. (I know of one importer and a major distributor that have had a lot of success with HYC.)

There are many reputable distributors selling these belts as an economy grade belting (please note that I wrote "economy", not "lesser"). The success of the sales is one of the reasons that the major US manufacturers introduced their "economy" or "commercial" brands of belting.

The problem with this type of belting is trying to determine who manufactures it or where it comes from since it is all unbranded.

Belt Maintenance Group has installed a lot of this type of belting that distributors have sold to our customers. Some of this belting is great and has been in operation for several years. Others have been ripped and torn within weeks, if not days.

It all depends on what your customer is looking for. There are a lot of US customers who still buy only used conveyor belt!! ■

The world becomes smaller and smaller the total world is becoming to a village.

For conveyor belt, USA market is a competitive and wonderful market for the special product. There are world famous brand "Good year""Fenner-Dunlop" etc. and just as Mr.Ronald D. Fernandes said, like HYC, HS maybe some qualified Asia manufacture.

1>I want to ask is is there any possibilty for introducing a new brand to USA market?

2>No brand and New unknown brand, which one is more feasible for marketing for a new face to the market?

Well er yes. Some small names like Yokohama Rubber, Bando & Bridgestone might sound familiar. In respect of Asians everywhere & in this day & age I would better understand the more obverse question.

Remember, if it moves by petrol & you have to pay for it yourself, then it must be Japanese (or very nearby). Anything else is likely to be an expensive roadside ornament. Similarly with more mundane machinery. Of course there are examples of exceptionally high quality machine hardware in USA, Australia & Europe; but they're getting harder to experience. ■
