Performance Test for BW Stacker/Reclaimer

Dear Experts,

I need help regarding the performance test of BWSR. How the performance of Equipment can ascertain? Specially i am looking for reclaiming performance. The reclaiming is depend upon the different level of pile so how total performance of equipment can established?

Regards

Performance testing is part of commissioning and will be described in the commissioning manual.

There is a lot more involved than mere reclaim performance, which I undestand to imply capacity and rate, according to the question context.

It is only necessary to read the manual which should be supplied before the erection phase: after the obligatory engineering approval.

To reclaim you will first have to stack and so half the machine will have already gained acceptance. This pre-supposes that the specified material was availble in the first place. Not common in new plants. It's mainly a guessing game; even on a good day and with the highest motives.

Just press the green button and take it from there. You will in the end.

The main point is time and material. Material, stacking and reclaiming performance requirements, test durance should be defined, see reply as above. Then you have to let the machine work on a typical setting in order to achieve a result on the average throughput. This would also answer your point concerning the levels of the pile: The machine must be able to reach all levels at performance, lest to test that already you have the need to test the machine through a whole pile height. Then again maximum machine performance has to be tested, the test setting on this might be agreed upon in advance or again you test it through a whole pile height.

As for my concern you have to check whether machine is recliaming rated capacity of material. it can check through the Belt weigh system. slewing and Luffing of Reclaimer Boom is achieving the respective angles with out any interruption as per the specified Drawing/ Design.

Hello,

Performance test procedure for bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer is conventionally well established and known among supplier and buyer. The basic information about this is as below:

It is to be noted that during stacking operation, the flow rate in the system is steady with minor variation as per feeding by the feeder (at the beginning of the stacking path). The feeder feeds to some conveyor and eventually material reaches on stockyard conveyor, for stacking.

Generally performance test for machine happens to be for 4 hours duration at a time (which can be only 1 time or 2 - 3 time as per contract).

For test during stacking, the stacking zone (module) is selected and machine automation part is set for the operation (chevron, cone-shell, windrow, etc.) as per contract. Performance check would be: a) Capability to handle flow (mtph). b) Quality of formation of stockpile as required in accordance with automation and manual element as per contract. c) Misbehaviour of automation, if any (or whether machine performs as per technical specification).

The bucket wheel stacker - reclaimer reclaiming rate is not constant but fluctuates during each slewing pass, and also among the benches to be reclaimed. The machine has 2 guaranteed parameters: a) Peak reclaiming rate. If this rate is more than the stipulated, it can cause difficulty in downside system. b) Average reclaiming rate during 4 hours operation.

For this reclaiming module length is chosen which has reclaimable portion average reclaiming rate multiplied by 4 hours, plus somewhat more. The module comprises of all reclaiming benches, ground to stockpile height. The machine automation part is set for the operation (i.e. reclaiming in chosen module). The manual element would be as per contract. The machine starts reclaiming and works for 4 hours, in a defined manner. The performance is checked for: a) Occurring peak reclaiming rate. b) Average reclaiming rate mtph (quantity reclaimed / time). c) Misbehaviour of automation if any, etc.

The belt weigher on boom and belt weighers in the system are utilised to ascertain flow rate mtph and quantity being reclaimed.

Well, prior to such test, the buyer and the seller meet and decide: a) Participants from both sides. b) Log book format. c) Jointly signing the results. d) Plant owner to ensure flow of incoming material during stacking, and also the working of the system down side of machine during reclaiming operation. e) Time table.

Refer machine manufacturer or experienced buyer for more information and guidance. It is not practical to provide more information in forum.
