Pyrite Crushing

You have to use two stage crushing.

Pyrites are not hard. Primary crshing can be done in a single toggle jaw crusher or an impactor. Desired size will be minus 20 mm.

This prodct can be ground in a verticle impact breaker (Barmac type) in closed cicuit with a 3 mm screen.

Dear Mr. Verma,

For this, you require two-stage crushing plant, a primary reduction by a single jaw crusher. The output from the Jaw crusher at -40 mm than to be fed into Vertical-Shaft-Impactor (VSI). Since the material is abrasive in nature the VSI has to be rock-on-rock configuration. This will minmise your wear cost. You will require to put screen to seperate -3 mm to output, the above 3 mm particle will return to VSI for recirculation.

We are manufacturer of VSI.

Hi. VSI normally needs a lot of recirculation, and related conveyors. Screen size becomes big and area required is also more.

If pyrite ore is not very abrasive, may be you cah use a fixed blade horizontal shaft Impactor or a Hammer Mill. [Hammer Mill is better if you want - 3mm, but again it will produce fines, so it will depend if you need product in a close band or fines are acceptable]. If corrosion [ not abrasion] is the only problem , contact parts can be made of non-corrosive material.
