Angle of internal friction in Hoppers

Posted in: , on 11. Sep. 2008 - 07:53

Hi Friends

I am in learning process for design of hopper and belt feeders. When I was going through certain design materials I have, I came across certain terms like angle of internal friction, co-efficient of wall friction and wall friction angle.

My question is how these values are determined? Is there any table for these determined values for any given material?

Please give your opinions, advices or any similar references.

Regards, Harish kumar R

If you are just learning how to apply formulea then generic data can be found.

But you'd be extremely foolish to use this generic data for a real installation.
