At present we are installing a sampler device on a conveyor belt for sampling Urea being loaded to the ships.

An arm with a spout rotaes and scoops the urea and pass it into a pipe and can be collected at the end of the pipe.

Since the motor speed is variable the scoopinbg intervals can be controlled. The spout size can also be varied to scoop less or more. ■

Have you considered real time analysis? If the material can be moved by conveyor belt then elemental analysis can be performed continuously and sampling wouldn't be required at all. The GEOSCAN system requires about 50kg/m of conveyor load to provide optimum multi-element precisions. If you can advise which elements you need, the composition ranges, and at what precision, then we can advise if this system is appropriate. ■
