RULMECA CORPORATION PUBLISHES NEW MOTORIZED PULLEY CATALOG

WILMINGTON, N.C. (April 30, 2004) - Rulmeca Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of motorized pulleys for bulk handling, recently released its Motorized Pulley Catalog for North America.

Also available for download from www.rulmecacorp.com, this catalog provides specifications for the full conveyor belt drive pulley range up to 31.5<= diameter, 180 HP, and 1,000 feet per minute. “We’ve made this catalog as user-friendly as possible for our North American customers,” said Rulmeca Corporation President, Mike Gawinski. “We based all specifications on the 3 phase 60 Hz power supply used throughout the North American bulk materials handling industry.”

The catalog provides a complete set of electrical connection diagrams and technical precautions for design, installation, and maintenance not available in previous versions. It also includes specific data such as actual belt speed and actual belt pull essential to process designers.

Rulmeca Motorized Pulleys save valuable space because the drive’s motor and gearbox are enclosed within the pulley shell. The hermetically sealed enclosure increases system reliability while the self-lubricating gearbox design reduces costly maintenance expense. Operator safety is improved by the unit’s “dead shaft” and enclosed drive design which eliminate pinch points.

Applications include all bulk conveyor operations. Rulmeca motorized pulleys come in a variety of standard dimensions and options. Maintenance is minimal, requiring an oil change only every 10,000 operating hours or five years of single shift operation.
