Starlinger Open House:

Technology innovations all along the manufacturing chain

Weissenbach, Vienna, Austriah - Starlinger & Co. GmbH, technology supplier for woven plastic packaging production and plastics recycling, is opening the doors of their showrooms in Weissenbach to present the latest in woven plastic packaging production machinery and plastics recycling technology from October 14 - 16 and 21 – 25, 2013.

In the days before, during and after the K show in Düsseldorf, packaging producers and plastics recyclers have the opportunity to see the latest models of the Starlinger machine range in operation in the Starlinger factories in Weissenbach. Innovations have been implemented throughout the entire manufacturing chain – from tape production to the finished sack and back to the recycled, reusable pellet.

Highlights are the new lamiTEC coating and lamination line that features roll change at full production speed and increased output (also on show at K 2013 in Düsseldorf), the RX 8.0 circular loom for heavy-duty fabric weaving, the conversion line ad*starKON SX+ with high production speed and unrivalled efficiency, and the newly developed the linTAPE tape winders with linear drive technology for smooth winding and gentle tape treatment. New packaging product innovations are, for example, the AD*STAR® *mini sack, a small sack format for AD*STAR® block bottom valve sacks with a capacity of 10 – 15 kg and destined for the retail market, or PP*STAR® pinch bottom sacks with easy-open feature.

In the Technical Center of Starlinger recycling technology the recycling lines recoSTAR basic, recoSTAR universal and recoSTAR PET will be available for customer demonstrations. They provide recycling solutions for a variety of applications, ranging from fiber and nonwovens scrap, woven bag production scrap, post-consumer PET flakes and film to plastic scrap with special requirements such as high contamination or mixed materials.

Within easy reach of the Austrian capital Vienna – the ride from Vienna International Airport to the Starlinger factories in Weissenbach takes roughly 45 minutes by car – the Open House is a convenient stopover for visitors on their way to or from this year’s K show in Düsseldorf.

AD*STAR® and PP*STAR® are registered trademarks and produced exclusively on Starlinger machines.

recoSTAR® is a registered trademark of Starlinger & Co. Gesellschaft m.b.H.
