Each mill have their aspiration volume, if our grinding capacity is less then how we select correct volume for conveying as well as balancing the aspiration volume for mill to final destination of product conveying.

Dear chavannilesh,

Each mill has their aspiration volume, if our grinding capacity is less then how we select correct volume for conveying as well as balancing the aspiration volume for mill to final destination of product conveying.

Read your post many times.

It looks like a question and an installation description in one sentence, although there is no question mark at the end.

A Dutch saying is (free translated): I can't make chocolate out of it.

our grinding capacity is less then

Then what?

Your cryptical post cannot generate answers.

Try again with a better description of the installation and a specific question.

Sry sir i will try best to explore my questions.

Application-air classifier Mill to achieve fine grinding.

principle-an air classifier mill applies impact grinding and classification in one step. the mill uses airflow to convey feed material to the grinding chamber, classifies the material into fine and coarse fractions, recirculates the coarse fraction for further grinding and conveys fine particle out of the mill ,all in one continuous operation.

Problem-Now we talking about higher air classifier mill which have 200 hp main motor.

when these mill starts, rotor & classifier of mills start rotating which generate airflow which we call its aspiration volume.

air classifier mill connected to bag filter with ducting to separate air and fine particles.

Now mill aspiration volume is high suppose 12000 m3/hr.

Grinding capacity is only 500 kg/hr we select fan for these application 18000 m3/hr Due to higher flow rate bag filter size is also big even low filter load.

fineness of these particles after grinding is only 10 micron which we difficult to catch.

Question-Is there any other way to separation of fine particles & air ?

How we choose air flow for these type of application?

Dear chavannilesh,

The article, which you attached to your post, answers all your questions.

The particle separation in your case is based on the suspension velocity of the 10 micron particles.

Therefore you must design the separation zone for that suspension velocity.

Whether your proposed design is correct, I do not know as mills are not my expertise.

Using 160 kWh for 500 kg/hr. must result in a very high temperature of around 1200 degrC (if I am not mistaken).

Separating fine particles from bigger particles is also possible with a sieve.
