Hello,

I'd like to discuss maintenance policy relating to inspection and refurbishment of IDMS blow through rotary valve.

Manufacturer is Schenck process.

Material transported is Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF).

Main issue is how to measure efficiency in order to decide on refurbishment interval.

Best Regards,

John.

It comes down to how big the the elephant in the ointment is. As it is an all or nothing proposition BECAUSE the vanes wear and the body wears and you have to decide when it is time to scrap them and replace them AS this is no different that a rotary lobe blower repair which is typically an over the shoulder toss in steel bin for the scrap smelter.

It all come down to feeler guages for checking clearances at each vane and total wear on the shell as a worn body does you no good with new vanes and vice versa.

You have to follow Schenks repair/replacement guidelines.

you also have to understand a rotary valve in itself it is a WEAR PART.
