Dusty Air Flow

Hi sonminkuk,
You are on the right track. Churchill's equation is good for air. You could use the Moody diagram, which is the manual version of the same thing.
There is no magic. Dilute phase flow is based on having sufficient air velocity to stop the dust settling out. i.e. 16.4 m/s. Usually the plant would be sized on a flow of 18 - 20 m/s.
