Alpine Classifier Prices

Hi

I am planning to start a plant of gcc. I think most people recommend alpine classifier if I want to go up to 3 micron. Please let me know

1. Is there any worth considering competition of Alpine for air classifiers?

2. Is it a good idea if I use normal low cost ball mill (not the worst one of course) with Alpine classifier to get the fine product I want.

3. Is it a good idea to find used alpine classifier and super orion ball mill to save cost initially?

4. What is the approx cost of NEW and USED "Alpine ATP classifer 500/4" and their "SUPER ORION ball mill" for same 2T/hr production. I am just asking for a rough idea, I know the price for used will depend on the condition.

(I have contacted Hosokawa alpine by email for quote on Friday but no response yet. Will call them today.)

Hi

Besides Alpine, PMT & Ecutec are worth consideration.

We could provide a classifier with P95=10-12 microns with very competitive price offer,

for finer product find out at manufacturers mentioned above.

question # 2: answer --yes

question # 3: it is a good idea, to send samples to manufacturer & get

milling & classification trials before buying anything.

good luck again

1) The MicroSizer air classifier, manufactered in the U. S., compares very favorably in performance to Hosokawa's Alpine. The MicroSizer is often used in ball mill circuits because of the efficient classification which enhances ball mill grinding. Additionally, our system is widely used with GCC and we have installations throughout the world.

2) Yes, there is typically very little difference in performance among the various ball mill manufactures as long as the mill is well made. It is typically the classifer which sets apart the performance of the system.

3) It is almost impossible to find a MicroSizer in the secondary market (not sure about Alpine). The machine is very robust and maintenance issues are very low. As far as ball mills go, most that you see on the used market are in pretty bad shape. I would recommend going with a supplier of new ball mills who is willing to provide them at very competitive pricing.

4) The cost of an MS-20 MicroSizer which would deliver your requirement of

2 T/H of finished product is $154,000 USD. I would be happy to recommend a ball mill supplier for you as well.

Best of Luck,

Chris

Hi

Regarding your questions:

1.Alpine 's classifier is one of the best but I'm not sure about the price/performance ratio.

2.It's not a good idea to use a ball mill to produce the ultrafine powder in the time of soaring energy cost.

3.It depends on the condition and price of the used equipment.

4. Only Apline people can answer this question.

We are Luzim Powder Engineering Company in Taiwan and can offer you a price/Performance

classifier to meet your need.

Best Regards
