Max. Inclination of Belt for Shredded Cane

Dear all !!

Actually we are working on modification of belt conveyor having b/w 2000 mm and length around 35 meter, for conveying Shredded Cane, currently its having inclination of 18 deg but due to requirement of some ease at head and tail ends its necessary to increase its inclination, as per HUGOT there is possible inclination of 21 Deg, which is not sufficient for the required purpose.

it would be helpfull for me if anybody please suggest any referecne of maximum inclination for the same,

Thanking you,

chetan

Greetings,

Please forward the design capacity of the conveyor so that we can quickly run a calculation and thus we can be able to give you a more accurate answer and not a thumb suck!

It looks like you have some good feeback already, but I wanted to add one additional point.

If you have any intention of adding a belt scale to the conveyor for weighing the cane, our company and others have determined that a rule of thumb for maximum incline would be 18 degrees.

Weighing cane on a belt conveyor is not an easy nor common application, but we have done projects with reduced accuracy for approximate inventory purposes.
