Hello all,

I am from Philippines.I would like to know, what an employer looks in for a vulcaniser vacancy. I am having 10 years of experience as a rubber technician. I can splice and apply cold solution or use hot process for onveyor belts. Is it that, a country of stay matters?

I applied to many advertisers, but no replies.

Can anyone give the exact requirement?

Thanks,

Albert

Dear Albert:

As the General Manager of an established U.S. conveyor belt vulcanizing company, we have employed foreign workers during our 36 year history.

When we hire technicians from another country, we are looking for workers that are very skilled as a splice technician. In the U.S., the ability to speak and understand English is very important, especially for safety reasons.

In addition (and sometimes, unfortunately in the U.S.), we have to make sure that the technician can legally work in the U.S. The paperwork is extensive and expensive. Due to this, we are limited to hiring only the most experienced technicians.

I am not sure if other countries are as stringent in their requirements. However, from working in many countries, on a project basis, we have found that they require a lot of paperwork before we can work there.

I hope that this helps. Good luck with your search.

Employment As Belt Splices In Western Australia

Posted on 13. Mar. 2006 - 05:19

Dear Albert,

Our company is based in Perth Western Australia and we are interested in a potential employment of you and perhaps a few more of your collegues, provided they are experienced belt splicers.

We are about to be registered with the Australian Immigration as authorized employer of foreign labour. The paper work would therefore not be too difficult nad time consuming.

Could you please send us your employment history via email so that we can evaluate your credentials.

To give you an over view of our operations please look us up on the web under " www.gfbeltline.com.au ".

We hope to hear from you soon.

Best regards
