Field Service Technician-USA

Cleveland, OH to Buffalo, NY to driving territory

Company Vehicle Included

Base salary and annual incentive program

•My client has an immediate opportunity for a field service technician with at least 5 years of experience working independently in field service, traveling to customer sites.

•This technician should be located in the area between Cleveland/ Akron and Youngstown OH so that overnight travel and on-the-road time is minimized.

•This position will travel daily in a company provided vehicle and will manage a set of customers in a multi state territory, perform hands on electrical and mechanical maintenance, select and supervise sub-contractors and assist sales people with proposals.

•This position will be responsible for a territory based between the Cleveland/Akron OH area and Buffalo, NY.

•A company vehicle with all expenses paid by the company is provided for your business travel.

•The primary function of this position is to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on existing coal dust suppression and chemical dust treatment systems and to perform and supervise mechanical and electrical installation related for new installation projects.

•The successful candidate will be able to work independently and productively so that they can accomplish daily tasks and maintain customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

1)Assure that all chemical treatment of electro-mechanical dust suppression equipment is maintained in such a manner that it performs reliably and effectively to meet customers expectations.

2)Maintain current dust suppression chemical sales levels at existing accounts through superior equipment uptime and customer satisfaction

3)Expand chemical sales levels at existing accounts as prudent relative to retaining long term customer relationships.

4)Promote Coal Handling Support (CHS) Projects with existing accounts.

5)Promote CHS Projects to the extent possible at prospective customers within the geographical areas of responsibility.

6)Assure that adequate documentation is provided to the customers and Management to meet the administrative needs of both.

7)Assist with defining the needs and potential of the assigned geographical areas of responsibility.

8)Provide and/or supervise Electrical maintenance or installation support within the geographical area of responsibility

9) On occasion may be requested to travel outside of the assigned territory to assist other members of the field sales and service team

Requirements

Required Education: HS diploma is required. AS degree in a technical discipline is desired.

Required experience: A fully qualified candidate will have at least (5) five years of industrial equipment maintenance experience in a field service environment with overnight travel and face to face customer contact.

Key Point: Candidates with experience in maintaining building facilities and installation and repair of plant industrial equipment have applicable and transferable experience. If you have this experience background, can work independently and wish to travel up to two to three overnight trips per week then you are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have the Ability to operate / use:

Electrical, welding and pipefitting equipment

Multimeter

General maintenance hand tools

General Office Equipment

Personal Computer

Candidates must be able to drive a motor vehicle to customer sites, use and operate general test and measurement instruments and maintenance tools, personal computer software, (Excel, Word, MS Project).

On occasion this position will require the candidate to climb ladders and work in tight quarters.

Daily Regional travel by company provided vehicle and it may be required from time to time to travel by air to other customer sites.

Travel ranges from zero overnight travel to 3-4 overnights per week. The average overnight travel is 2-3 nights per week.

This company offers and excellent healthcare and dental coverage program, a 401(k) retirement/savings plan with matching company contributions and discretionary profit sharing, ten (10) company paid holidays, one (1) week vacation after six months of service and two (2) weeks of vacation after one year of service, three weeks of paid vacation after five (5) years of company service.

A base starting salary of between $32,000 to $41,000 per year will be offered as well as rapid advancement in pay for exceptional performance. This position is eligible to participate in an annual cash incentive program as well.
