China Warman Slurry Pump Manufacturer

Posted in: , on 10. May. 2018 - 14:00

Tobee® TH Slurry pumps are interchangeable with world’s standard Warman AH slurry pumps for heavy duties, A wide variety of impellers and shaft seals provide a perfect fit for a wide range of applications. The TH slurry pump provides excellent wear life while maintaining efficiency during the wear cycle providing the best total operating cost. These horizontal slurry pumps are designed for hyper heavy duty applications such as mill discharge, process plant, coal washing, dregding sands, tailings and high pressure pipelines, as well as other specialty applications.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Size: 1" to 22"

Capacity: 3.6-5400m3/h

Head: 6-125m

Handing solids: 0-130mm

Max.pressure: 2020 kPa

Materials: Hyper chrome alloy, Rubber, Polyurethane, Ceramic, Stainless steel etc.

Design Features:

• Bearing assembly - a large diameter shaft with short overhang minimizes deflection and contributes to long bearing life. Only four through bolts are required to hold the cartridge type housing in the frame.

• Liners - easily replaceable liners are bolted, not glued, to the casing for positive attachment and east of maintenance. Hard metal liners are completely interchangeable with pressure moulded elastomer.

• Elastomer seal rings back all liner joints.

• Casing - Casing halves of cast or ductile iron with external reinforcing ribs provide high operating pressure capabilities and an extra measure of safety.

• Impeller - front and rear shrouds have pump out vanes that reduce recirculation and seal contamination. Hard metal and moulded elastomer impellers are completely interchangeable.

• Cast in impeller threads require no inserts or nuts. High efficiency and high head designs are also available.

• Throatbush - wear is reduced and maintenance simplified by the use of tapered mating faces to allow positive accurate alignment during assembly and simple removal.

• One-piece frame - a very robust one-piece frame cradles the cartridge type bearing and shaft assembly.

• An external impeller adjustment mechanism is provided below the bearing housing for easy adjustment of impeller clearance

Piracy Persists

Posted on 15. May. 2018 - 07:06

Centrifugal slurry pumps are simple pieces of hardware which attract copies out of proportion to their merits. Wear is accepted and replacement parts are simple items. There is no need to publicise the merits of pirate parts. If the principal suppliers were seriously threatened they could quite easily buy out an Asian manufacturer and start producing the genuine article. However the principal would then be lumbered with a development dilemma which might prove unproductive. It is an industry issue. Do you want to run Warman out of business: then you have to decide whether you need a new standard to attack. Surely if your pump has merit it will stand the test. Therein lies the test, CAN YOU QUANTIFY WEAR. Of course not. So why make claims for durability when nobody in the business knows, really knows, what they are talking about.

Do you radiograph your castings. Warman, according to discussions with their Chief Engineer, don't: despite rubbishing competitors when it comes to operating pumps in series. No charge!

Pump Selection Is The Best Wear Preventative

Posted on 23. Dec. 2018 - 06:53

to those with slurry pump wear problems, the pump supplier you chose is less important than the pump you select for the application. pump design and metallurgy have had decades of development and are well established by most pump manufacturers. hence the differences between pumps from different manufacturers is minimal in comparison to selecting the right pump style, size and speed.

most systems do not operate at a static state, however every system has a median operating state and the pump should be selected using the parameters from that state. the selected pump should be checked against all operating conditions to ensure those conditions are within its operating range.

the pump selection should only be made after an analysis, and optimization, of the complete system from pump feed box to discharge. if this optimization has not been performed, it should be before looking at replacing a pump due to wear problems. if it has and the operating parameters of the system have changed, the analysis should be performed again to confirm the system components are suitable for the new operating conditions. the analysis should be performed by a practitioner who has ample design and field experience with all aspects of the system; design, operation and maintenance.

when selecting a pump the best tool to use is the pump manufacturer's selection tools. for software, i have tested and used those from metso, weir and giw industries. of the three, the giw industries 'slysel' selection tools are by far the best.

because pump selection is the best method of prevention for pump wear, the process as laid out above is the surest method to minimize pump wear.
