I have a mineral BaSO4 (Barite Ore) and want to remove its Calcium (Ca) imputrities to get a high purified barite. what do you recommand me to do? or any patent or article in this topic, please mail me, takintanha@yahoo.com, thanks

What is the quantity of BaSO4 to be purified ?

In what form Ca is present?

If the quantity is small and if Ca is present as CaCO3, you can wash with dil HCl. This will remove other soluble chlorides also.
