To Burn

Posted on 23. Apr. 2013 - 12:39

Hello HKMike,

After drying: you could check with possible clients, whether their process or their burner layout is adapted to chloride contents, name the point.

In some port storage facilities sea water was/is used to be sprayed onto coal heaps in order to hold down the dust. And, if in case a fire would break out, seawater was / is always there in plenty to be used in firefighting, thus the issue should not be a first, then. So: If you have a connection, check with coal export / seaport facility operators. Or else, over to the forum members.

In wet state: Pls. be careful about wet internal combustion, starting of burning within heaps etc.

Regards

R.

Re: Green Pet Coke. Seawater Contamination

Thanks Roland.

I appreciate you taking the time to post a reply. If I do get a definitive answer I'll post it on this site. So much pet coke is shipped around the world that sea water contamination must occur from time to time.

Regards,

Mike.
