Vortex® will showcase the next generation of Vortex® Valves at the 2007 K-Show. The new, patent pending Vortex® Quantum™ Series Orifice Gate™ is a significant design innovation over Vortex®’s original patented Orifice Gate™. Vortex® utilizes precision laser cutting and bending technology to manufacture this leading-edge valve. The Quantum™ F-Series features aluminum construction, weather resistant design with improved sealing performance, higher durability, easier maintenance, and fewer parts. Optional material of construction includes stainless steel and carbon steel.
The Vortex® Quantum™ Series Orifice Gate™ is versatile and well-suited for many plastic or resin material handling applications. The Quantum™ Series can be applied to control, shut-off, or meter material flow of non-abrasive to moderately abrasive powders, granulars, or pellets and is available in 50mm through 400mm (2” through 14” sizes also available).
Another new Vortex® Valves product introduction will be the patent pending Quantum™ Series Wye Line Diverter™. The Quantum™ Series Wye Line will replace the original patented Vortex® Wye Line Diverter™. Like the Vortex® Quantum™ Series Orifice Gate™, the Quantum™ Series Wye Line is manufactured with the same leading-edge technology and features the same design benefits.
The Quantum™ Wye Line Diverter™ is specifically engineered to handle plastics or resins in vacuum or dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems with pressures up to 15 PSIG (1 bar). The Quantum™ Series Diverter provides a number of significant advantages over traditional flapper and rotating tunnel style diverters. Trouble spots inherent in these conventional diverters are eliminated with the Quantum™ Wye Line Diverter™, providing superior sealing, low installation weight, fast “in-line” maintenance, and an abrasion resistant design for long-term, reliable service.
