Industry leaders will give in-depth analyses of the entire lifecycle of pharmaceutical facilities during the PharmaFacilities Conference. In their presentations, they will detail innovative technologies and strategies for increasing the quality and efficiency of facilities, while reducing costs and environmental impact. Issues that will be addressed include designing for continuous processing in solid dosage facilities, minimizing contamination and liability, designing green strategies, leading with safety, and effective validation project management. Several workshops offer CEUs, produced by The Center for Professional Advancement.
The PharmaFacilities Forum, focusing on the highly-specialized facility requirements of the pharmaceutical industry worldwide, will offer a comprehensive solutions showcase. Solutions will include products and services in the areas of architecture, engineering and construction; cleanrooms; economic development and utilities; facilities maintenance; logistics and warehousing; and safety and security. The Facilities Resource Center will showcase innovative products and technologies for new or renovated facilities.
Sponsored by ISPE, the international nonprofit society for innovation in pharmaceutical engineering, INTERPHEX and Pharmaceutical Processing magazine, INTERPHEX will inaugurate the Facility of the Year Award. This prestigious award will recognize five finalists that have exhibited technological innovations, in their newly-constructed or retrofitted pharmaceutical facilities, that have improved the quality and reduced the cost of producing medicines. Finalists from Canada, Denmark, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States were chosen from a field of 28 global entries from Asia, Europe, North America and South America. The finalists and winner will be recognized on Tuesday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 27, prior to the Keynote Sessions in the Special Events Hall. Schematics, statistics and pictures of their facilities will be on exhibit in the The Facility of the Year Display in the Facilities Resource Center located in Hall 1A.
