The Hydraulic Conveying Association of South Africa will host the 4th one day seminar on the latest developments in slurry transportation on Monday 7 April 2003 at the Indaba Conference Centre in Fourways, Johannesburg. There have been considerable developments in slurry pipeline technology since the last seminar was held in 1995 and the seminar will provide an ideal opportunity for delegates to update their slurry pipeline technology knowledge.
The seminar is aimed at engineers and metallurgists involved in the design, operation and maintenance of slurry pumping systems. The seminar encompasses all aspects of hydraulic transportation with a strong focus on high concentration applications.
Papers will be presented on topics ranging from slurry rheology, paste for surface tailings disposal and underground support to case studies and developments in slurry pump technology. The keynote address will be given by Prof. Andy Fourie of the Civil Engineering Department at WITS.
Further details are provided in the attached Seminar Programme (MS Word format)Please note that this event is not organised by the SAIMM, so should you have any enquiries, please use the contact details as listed in the e-mail to obtain more information.
