MECO Custom Shaft Seals will be on exhibit at the Powtex Trade Fair in Tokyo on November 9-12, 2004. The MECO distributor for Japan, Techno-Support, Ltd. will be on hand to offer sales and support for the seals. The event is sponsored by the Association of Powder Process Industry and Engineering, of Japan.
MECO seals for rotating process equipment are custom-engineered to each application; can increase "Mean Time Between Failures" by a factor of 4 or more over packing. Seals protect shafts from abrasion damage, accommodate shock loads, thermal shaft growth and 6mm or more of total runout/misalignment. Fully-split models are available to retrofit without removing bearings. Sanitary designs are also available for food and pharmaceutical applications.
