2005 came to a close with a major event for WAM Shanghai. Since 1999 the Company had manufactured screw conveyors, dust filters and valves at their factory in Chuan Nan Feng Road, Pudong. In 2004, however, production capacity had reached its limits.
In a record-nine months, a new ultra-modern factory was built in Ji Chang Town, literally a stone’s throw away from Shanghai’s International Airport in Pudong. On four acres of workshop buildings, production is now continued on brand-new state-of-the-art production machinery.
On December 5th, WAM Shanghai celebrated the inauguration of their new manufacturing plant. In the presence of the Italian Vice-Consul in Shanghai, Ms Silvia Costantini and the Governor of Ji Chang Town, Mr Zhao Wei Ai, WAMGROUP Chairman & C.E.O., Mr Vainer Marchesini and WAM Shanghai’s General Manager, Mr Gianfranco Sabatini, proudly inaugurated the new premises.
