In any minerals processing facility, dust is generated when ore is shattered or broken as in dumping, loading, transferring, or handling. Proper design, selection, and operation of equipment to minimize ore breakage can therefore reduce dust.

Crushers reduce coarse material to a desired size. The crushing process uses mechanical energy and rubbing to fracture the rock. The forces applied to rock fragments during crushing processes are -

Compression force

Impact Force

Compression is a slow application of force on the rock while impact is a short, sudden application of force.

All crushers generate dust. Crushers that primarily use impact forces produce large amounts of fines and dust. Those that primarily use compression forces produce dust in proportion to the stage of reduction: dust production increases progressively from first- to third-stage crushing.

Jaw crusher is a kind of stone crusher is a long history, featuring simple and firm structure, reliable operation, convenient maintenance and repair and low operation cost, so it is still widely used in metallurgy, chemical, building material, power, communication and other industries, for the primary, secondary and tertiary crushing of ores and rocks with the compressing strength of 147~245Mpa, to crush materials of different sizes to uniform small grains. It can be used with the ore dressing equipment or used independently.

Impact crusher is with unique structure, keyless connection, high-chromium plating hammer and special impact liner plate; it is capable of highly efficient hard rock crushing while saving energy; the product is in the shape of a cube, the discharge grain size is adjustable to simplify the crushing circuit.

The motor of cone crusher is forced by eccentric sleeve through belt pulley or coupling, driving shaft and the cone to oscillate and rotate around a certain axis, so as to make the crushing wall close to and far away from surface of the liner plate fixed on the adjusting sleeve. The ore is crushed by continuous impact, extrusion and flexural action in the crushing cavity.
