Hi every body

Does any body know what a retention ring is and how it works?

I searched it and found it's applied in cement industry. But, Is it popular in wet grinding, in ball mills. Does it help to have a more fine mill discharge? Does it affect ball mill operation reversely?

Greetings,

A retension ring is the ring used to hold the

end kiln bricks in place in a rotary kiln.

There is lot of debate about the best way to maintain them or the bricks and the installation

of brick retaining rods in the kiln to secure them and proper cementing of same and the

problems with expansion and contraction of the bricks in the kiln.

There is a large amount of information on Linked In about the subject
