standard VSMA slope is 20 degree slope declined.

but, depending on size of opening the slope can be in a DIFFERENT RANGE from 20........see chart for examples

the inch area of the CHART ........means inches between the wires actually or CLEAR OPENING between the wires.

M = Means MESH......OR explained in other words .....the number of openings when looked at under a magnifying glass .....that are counted in a linear INCH.

if you cound 35.......35 M or 35 Mesh or 50 etc.

These are per the testing sieve charts of the vibrating screen industry.

As a screen manufacturer I recommend several things that you need to consider when determining the slope that will best fit your specific application. The larger the decline, the faster the travel rate of your material. Depending on the gradations of the material you are running, this angle will determine how much time your material has to see the openings in your media. Most aggregate materials will see sufficent openings with a 20 degree decline, however, it is not uncommon to decrease that slope to around 15 degrees, or increase it to a maximum 30 degrees. It is usually wise to consult your screen supplier with the necessary information to determine what will work best for your specific application. ■
