Re: Raw Mill Outlet Duct Wear Out
Salam
U could try
hardfaced wear plate - Chromium carbide matrix - fine grained - make duct from plate - rolled/shaped to suit > check weight limits on supports
wear materials eg Densit - trowelled onto mild steel duct
We use both of above for VRM
U could also try ceramics but U maybe limited by adhesive temp limits
Cheers

Re: Raw Mill Outlet Duct Wear Out
dear James
Thanks for your reply, and what about the air velocity reducing in outlet duct by increase duct diameter, is it possible without any affecting on process?, and what is the optimum velocity in this duct? ■
Raw Mill Outlet
Materials such as ceramics offer the best solution.
Inour experience Densit linings can be applied to any form of fabrication geometry.
Ceramics are good in new fabrications only due to installation
techniques,ie overhead tiling is extremely difficult.
Densit linings can be sprayed/trowelled of even cast into
position in old duct . ■

Problems With Wear Out
Dear Engineer,
I am a sales manager of a company which is specialised in the supply of components to the cement industry.
I made very good experience with ceramic liners http://www.kalenborn.de/englisch/wearprotection.htm
They are quite expensive but you will sleep calm.
By the way, if you have some time, I would be happy if you have a look to www.aquarius-germany.de
We are supplier to the cement industry since 1980.
Best regards
