Good question; it exposes possibility. 500 tph isn't a lot. You could run single flanged wheels over the bottom flanges of the toes-out stringers. With this size of machine you can well afford to use countersunk bolts for the stringer leg connections...if you even have to.

If you weld a rail atop the stringers then be sure you can remove stringer lengths later on if you have to. Watch out for pull wire access and idler frame hold downs.

Clamp fixing is quite a bit over the top. Rails would have to be carried on outriggers, which complicate any structure, regardless of clamping or welding.
