SO your going to store soda ash in a grain bin eh????

Assuming you know that soda ash makes water wetter its

not a good idea period.

You need a "clean, dry, warm area to store it" as it will cake severely from moisture

absorption and be problematic in unloading the other issue is contact with the

concrete as it will turn to a solid mass to certain point due to the cold ground.

If you are expecting to bag it for the well drilling business you would be

better off bagging it and storing it in a dry above ground warehouse.

Selling it for the home laundry and commercial laundry market would be

better as it would sell quickly in ten pound sewn bags packed six bags to

a bulk pack bag like 10 pound bags of sugar are packed in.

Soap Opera.

As Leon says bagging would be better. We don't know the destination from the silo and the extraction rate.

Your silo might as well have a flat closed base because you won't get much, anything eventually, out from a bottom opening.

A grab would be able to remove material from the top of the silo but that defeats the idea of the silo anyway.

How do you fill the silo and at what rate?

Shaking the stuff about a bin floor is not the problem. The problem is getting the ash out of the hole in the bin bottom and we have had no indication of what hole is available. This thread is one of those now notorious one line questions begging for an elaborate outpouring of advice which adviser is misled by the vagaries of the one liner.
