HDPE powder (High Density Polyethylene) Characteristics for Silo design

Dears,

I'm busy with designing a treatment vessel (Silo) for HDPE. I cannot find the silo design characteristics such as Coeff. of wall friction, Overpressure Coeff., Material Coeff., Pressure Ratio etc. for this material. Can any one assist me to find the proper reference? We are not able to send the material for testing at this stage to derive the parameters. Thanks a lot.

It is unlikely that you would need mass flow for storing HDPE, but the outlet size would depend whether it was in powder or pellet form and wall friction depends also on the contact material. The design of silos involves many features of site and duty, and data bases are dangerous places for information on bulk solid properties. And what 'treatment' will be going on in the vessel? There are too many unknowns at the moment to advise.
