Dear All,

i am in the final year of my PhD at the Centre for Bulk Solids & Particulate Technologies (University of Wollongong, Australia); my research project is on the modelling of fluidised dense-phase pneumatic conveying (of powders).

after completion of my PhD, i am interested to pursue postdoctoral research (say for about 2 years) in some reputed university (e.g in USA, Germany, Japan.. also Australia would be alright - but preferably would like to explore a new place). for the postdoc, my preference is to diversify into a different research area/ new cutting age technologies - but i guess some connection with my existing studies might help me to generate more effictive results in quick time, e.g. i was thinking of transport/ fluidization of nanoparticles etc.

please share your views on this on this... also in case could see some opportunities somewhere (may be within your University etc), please let me know (i am also keeping an eyeout, but your inputs will be appreciated)

thanking you,

Soumya

Hi Soumya ,

It sounds interesting to know on Phd students from the conveying industry. I would suggest you link into CEMA , MHIA - Materials handling Industry of America and CICMHE websites for more information on education pertaining to bulk material systems at various universities.

Also , as an introduction i would like to introduce ourselves as Design experts in the area of civil, structural and mechnical conveyors especially for cement , coal handling , fertilizer , power , steel industries from India . We have been trying now for a while to approach someone who could enhance our Business Development in Australia or US or the Europe with vigorous exhange of design , manufacturing , monetary issues. If you are interested , please contact me.

I wish you all the best in you future endeavors.
