hi,

what is the best method for pumping silo to aluminate powder , for dense phase system any expertise have typical calculation?

density - 2400 kg/m^3

layout - vertical 20m+horizontal 12m

particle size - 0.2 mm sieve passing 100 % , 0.09 mm sieve passing 30 %

free flowing cristaline , dry

demand - 5 tons/hr

Dear Uditha,

The best method for your application is a dense phase conveying system because alumina powder is highly abrasive. Use a conveying velocity of about 2 meters/sec. For your conveying distance, pneumatic conveying is much simpler than any mechanical conveyor.

thanks for advising , actually 4 ~5 years back I get your dilute phase conveying sample calculation , its really very good , I know you are expert in penumatic conveying , so I will write you now your personnel mail , we need to get approximate cost , then I can discuss with my clinet , but project is very urgent. clinet is except budget we can discuss further more ?
