Posted in: , on 8. May. 2014 - 04:38

Dear Members,

I read Mr Amrit T Agarwal article "Design guide for dust collectors". How do we arrive at Quantity of air flow ? acfm. Does it mean Air cubic foot / min. If it is the case it shoulbe acf/m. I would like to know How do we arrive at figure acfm for a given bag filter.

regards,

Dear Mr. Veera Prasad,

In this article, "acfm" means "actual cfm", i.e., the air flow in cfm at the actual air pressure and temperature that are existing inside the dust collector.

Dear Mer. Prasad,

In this comprehensive article " DESIGN GUIDE FOR DUST COLLECTORS" I have used the term acfm to show the actual air flow in the dust collector, at the pressure and temperature as they exist at this location.
