Metso to supply crushing and screening equipment to Moly Mines in Australia

Metso Minerals will supply crushing and screening equipment to Moly Mines for its Spinifex Ridge molybdenum project near Port Hedland in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The delivery will be completed during the first quarter of 2009. The value of the order is approximately EUR 9 million.

Metso's delivery consists of two secondary cone crushers and two mining screens with screening media and auxiliary equipment, as well as two feeders including a low head exciter mechanism.

Once completed, the project will process 20 million tonnes of molybdenum-copper per annum. The expected operational life time of the mine exceeds 20 years.

Moly Mines Limited is an independent Australian resources company focused on the development of major specialty, base and precious metals projects.

Metso to supply crushing equipment to Assmang Limited in South Africa

Metso Minerals will supply crushing equipment to Assmang Limited for its Khumani iron ore mine in the Northern Cape of South Africa. The delivery will be completed during the second quarter of 2010. The value of the order is approximately EUR 10 million.

The order comprises four large cone crushers for the Khumani mine’s expansion phase. These crushers will act in secondary and tertiary applications to complement Metso's crushing equipment that was ordered and commissioned during the first phase of the project.

The development project aims to increase the iron ore production at Khumani. Assmang Limited is a supplier of raw iron ore material to the world's steel mills and alloy plants. The major portion of its production is exported.

Metso to supply minerals processing equipment to Canada

Metso Minerals will supply minerals processing equipment to Terrane Metals Corp. for its Mt. Milligan Copper-Gold Project in British Columbia, Canada. The delivery will be completed during the third quarter of 2011. The value of the order is approximately EUR 43 million. The order is included in Metso's second quarter order backlog.

The order comprises a primary crusher, a SAG mill, two ball mills and other associated equipment. Once the Mt. Milligan Copper-Gold Project is in full operation, the average annual metal production over a 15.3 year mine life is forecast to be 88 million lb copper and 217,000 oz gold. Commercial production is scheduled for the first quarter in 2012.

Terrane Metals Corp. is an exploration and mine development company focused on the development of the Mt. Milligan copper-gold and Berg copper-molybdenum-silver projects in British Columbia, Canada.

Metso to supply mining equipment to Anglo American-MMX in Brazil

Metso Minerals will supply crushing, screening and feeding equipment to Anglo American-MMX for its Minas Rio Project located in the Minas Gerais state in Brazil. The delivery will be completed by the end of 2009. The value of the order is approximately EUR 7 million.

The order comprises two jaw crushers, four cone crushers, screens and feeders. The order also includes start up and commissioning services. This order is a continuation of a larger minerals processing equipment order from Metso last year for the same project. The previous order was included in 2007 orders received but has not been disclosed before.

The Minas-Rio iron ore project will comprise a mine and beneficiation plant producing pellet feed. The project is estimated to begin production during the first half of 2010 with potential production capacity of 26.5 million tons of iron ore per year. Anglo American acquired the Minas Rio project from MMX on late March, 2008.
