Air-jet mill brings new low cost to highest grade grinding
The new Netzsch-Condux “e-Jet System” fluidised bed Jet Mill brings all the advantages of high performance air-jet milling to a wider range of products economically, with greatly reduced energy, production and investment costs.
Available in the UK from Orthos following a co-operation agreement between companies, the new system uses a unique patent-pending process that opens up new areas of use for superior air-jet milling well beyond the previous limit to only high-value products and can also cut operating costs in existing applications.
Energy savings of up to 30% in comparison to the classical process can be made due to adapted grinding conditions and process optimisation. Even products that could only be manufactured efficiently using mechanical mills can now also be ‘micronised’ efficiently and such items as minerals or amorphous chemical products can be ground to superfine quality on these jet mills.
Significant processing advantages of the system include final products free of oversized particles, steep particle size distribution and grinding with minimum contamination. It is suitable for all machine sizes and retrofitting to existing plant.
