Nanofines

Dear Dr. Woehlbier,

I have Your name and e-mail from " The Powder / Bulk Portal".

I hope you have interest in suspensions in water, because we have a problem with a 20% suspension (W/W) of pyrogenic Alpha Alumina in water with a D50 of 1 micron. With D50 = 1 micron I want to indicate that the suspended particles are 50% above 1 micron.

We would like to separate the nanoparticles (under 250 nanometers) and recirculate the coarser suspension in the micronizing facility. (Ultrasound, Dissocubes, High pressure homogenizer, and the like). It is preferable to recirculate some nanoparticles than to have coarse particles in the superfines.

The superfines will be*condensed to a fluid paste. We prevent reagglomeration with the usual stabilizers of the Poloxamer family.

We have not solved with sufficient satisfaction the separation of the fines.

Can you help ?

If you are not the right person , do you, by chance, know who could assist us?

Many thanks in advance for your co-operation

Best regards,

cordially,

Enrico Verzocchi

Dear Mr. Verzocchi,

We are a Finnish technology start up focusing on ultra fine/sub micron milling & classification

Please let me know your tech requirements for separation of nano fines
