Flow Divders

DEAR ALL

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FROM FORUM MEMBERS THAT IS THERE ANY PROCESS OF DIVERTING A SAID RATE OF CONVEYOR DISCHRGE INTO TWO EQUALLY DIVIDED RATES OF DISCHARGES TO OTHER CONVEORS.

FOR EXAMPLE:

A CONVEYOR IS DISCHARGING 350 TPH AND IT IS TO BE DIVIDED AND CONVEYED TO TWO OTHER CONVEYORS OF 175 TPH EACH.

LET ME KNOW ANY SUCH EQUIPMENT WITH DETAILS.

THANK YOU

Hi pappu,

Splitting flow is quite common in the industry. Generally it is done with a door, or blade, in a rectanguar chute. The pivot is a bar hinge downstream of the selected chute bend [with tip of blade into the flow].

We do it to carry mud dribbles, to take sample and to send product in one of two directions. In Australia they are called bifurcated chutes.

But be careful to allow adjustment to the tip of the blade for the pattern of product flow. The split may not be 50-50%. You will have to adjust it in the field. And use hardened steel tips - they are sitting continually in an abrasive product.
