Tipping Pointless
Hi,
Go for the waggon tippler.
That gadget shown is not very efficient in most functions. ■

Re: Elevator-Bucket Wagon Unloader

I have heard about a system as elevator-bucket unloader which is used instead of wagon tippler. It is discharge bulk material from wagon by a bucket elevator and feed it to a stacker conveyor to stack material.
is there any one who experience this system?
how much this system better than wagon tippler?
could it be used for iron ore pellet?
thanks

Wagon Unloader
Hi,
Thanks for your attention.
I search for wagon unloader which is similar to ship unloader.
Wagon tippler needs more equipment and if this system could work for wagon unloading, it will have more benefit.
Is there any experience? ■
Product Data
Hello Mohandes
it may help if you describe the products you want to discharge, to answer about mechanical or pneumatic solutions or combination.
The "bucket discharge" may be not eficient in wagons.
But see this video of wagon discharge (very eficient) https://youtu.be/Zbmm-8uGS48?t=52
combined with the bunker technology (see attached pictures)

Solution Other Than Tippler
Hi,
we would like to discharge iron ore pellet and we would like to check solutions other than wagon tippler specially elevator-bucket unloader.

Maybe It Looks Like A Good Idea
If you put it in rail trucks in the first place then you should use the accepted norm of a tippler when you come to unloading.
From Hayl & Patterson down there has been a lot of work done with these machines. H & P used to be at PO Box 15 Pittsburg Pa so they do have history.
Personally I dont like the idea of dumping a very heavy intemittent load on the receiving belt. But if it's in railtrucke there is no real alternative...Unless you have the time to withdraw the chain buckets every time to clear headroom for the adjacent truck. Tipplers were designed to minimise demurrage & you might need to compare the excavation work against the standing charge over the life of your plant.
I've never seen an example of the device illustrated. I was in the business for nearly 50 years so may be I should have seen one but I suspect the reason was that they are as rare as rocking horse manure & with good reason.
It seems that you are intent on the illustrated device so good luck. ■

Hi Mohandes,
Are you still interested in elevator-bucket unloader now? We have many experience in this machine which is unload materials like coal from the train to the conveyor, for more photos and videos please check our website.
This machine it's much cheaper than wagon tippler, just need $507,250-$579,710. And could unload one wagon within 7mins.
This machine could be used for coal, copper ore, iron ore etc.
