Re: Diverting Flow From Apron Feeders
Discharge the Sampson into a screw conveyor, the scroll being half right hand and half left hand, the two discharges feed each conveyor respectively?? ■
Re: Diverting Flow From Apron Feeders
Diversion is only necessary to a secondary conveyor when alternate materials are to be used. Conveyors are 90deg to the feeder. Feeder discharge is centred over primary conveyor.
Should have added that to the original post - sorry
(Screw conveyors eh? I'll examine that....) ■
Re: Diverting Flow From Apron Feeders
Think about a diverter gate ■
Controllable Diversion
I would add to the Designers suggestion of a right and left hand screw the facility to move the screw along the casing so that, according to the axial position of the screw, the feed can be split into any desired ratio from 100% going to either side to a 50/50 division. Of course a reversible screw would serve if the requirement was for an alternative diversion or dump facility. ■
Diverting Flow from Apron Feeders
Anyone out there ever divert flow from an apron feeder to multiple conveyors? Samson apron feeder is (estimated) 3m wide, 20deg incline feeding 270t/hr of classified tailings for a mine slurry backfill installation. Two conveyors are 30"w, 1660mm apart and 12 deg incline with VERY limited clearance to the u/s of the apron feeder.
Thanks ■
