POSITION AVAILABLE: SALES ENGINEER

Scope:

To actively promote and sell a unique range of Conveyor Belt Spillage Control equipment throughout the USA and Canada via a network of Distributors, Agents, and Project Engineering Companies, to the Coal fired Power Generation Industry, Mining, Steel, Paper and other Industries using conveyors for bulk materials handling.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a regular call program covering the target market.

• Have an effective follow-up and reporting system.

• Provide a support service covering customer pre and post sale requirements.

• Remain fully informed on market conditions and trends and make strategic plans for the near and long term.

• Be instrumental in the companies’ growth and success.

Requirements:

• Tertiary mechanical engineering qualification.

• At least 3 years experience with conveyors and bulk materials handling.

• Computer literate with CAD experience.

• Have demonstrated sales ability and strong work ethic.

• Be prepared to travel regularly.

• Be prepared to do site work investigating potential applications, supervise installations and commissioning, and getting “hands dirty” if required.

• Prepare technical proposals and quotations.

• Able to work independently and productively with good self discipline.

Remuneration and benefits:

These to be negotiated to suit individual requirements, being largely performance based after a suitable induction period.
