Detecting material motion in chutes

Posted in: , on 12. Mar. 2008 - 17:12

I'm looking for a "bolt on" unit to detect the flow of grain in a chute.

I know I've seen one before which worked on an acoustic principle, but I just can't remember the name or company and my googling hasn't turned up anything.

Any ideas please.

Dear Sir,

Is it a sort of chute plugging switch? I have used a switch with small rotating arm. We fix this inside the chute. On stoppage of leaf/arm, due to chute jamming, we get an alarm.

Will you please explain how this "bolt on" unt works?
