Assuming you are talking about non decline conveyors, single discharge, then the target location should be as near to the discharge as possible.

You have already declared a single drive situation. Life cycle costing is irrelevant. Possible really means possible in your own situation.

Actually the scenario is,

Conv. length : 2.9 Km

Lift : 15 m

Nos. Discharge point : 3 nos. through movable head pulley

Capacity : 10000tph

speed : 4.85 mps

The Usual Sub-Continental Subterfuge.

I agree that 2.9km is more than 1km.

Beyond that there isn't much anybody should say. You have already quoted a speed which implies that the power is also decided. So since you know the power you ought to know where it is applied.

Maybe you can get some forum member to check it for free as you gradually reveal more of your own design. It has all happened before and will possibly happen again: although forum members are getting up to speed on the scams.

Just one more point. If the head is moveable and the drive was at the head then the drive becomes moveable and so there can be no precise logical answer to the opening post of the thread. The premises presented were flawed.
