Nitrogen and dust recovery

Is there general rules design about how to interconect pipes where nitrogen and dust is handling?.

My case is; nitrogen with PET dust is recovered in 2 inches pipe from the rotary valves, I decided interconect two pipes in one pipe to convey N2 and dust to a small filter bag but one line works well and the second plug.

I appreciate your help.

You have to maintain the minimum conveying velocity in both lines before the two are connected into a common single line. From what you say it seems that the conveying velocity in one of the lines is below the saltation velocity. Please check if this is true.
