Grate Cooler Problem

Grate cooler No. of strockes slowing down

Dear Experts

Could any one infrom me why my plant grate cooler nomber of strockes slowing down per one min. when the feeding increase to 160 tone / hour . that leds to clinker accumulated on the first hot zone parts of that cooler finally leds to upset .

my grate cooler made by CPAG 3 M WIDTH * 90 M LONG , 35 TONE / M2 / 24 HOURS , Hydraulic axial piston pumps drive . kiln 4.2 * 68 l , 2800 tone /24 h

Hi

Suggest checking your PLC control

The speed of the grate should be in a table - increase feed rate and speed increases...

I think that you may also have a under grate pressure control as well...second loop - if the bed builds up..the back pressure increases and grate speed increases acc.

Pls check your PLC vs the OEM supplier commissioing set up.

The other option is that youyr grate is slowing down with the increased load...but you should have an underspeed detection set up for this and this is then a hydraulic/mechanical issue
