Weeeeell.... I can browse the forum with no problems, but whenever I attempt to post in a thread - or respond to an existing one - I am informed that my IP address has changed and am asked to log in again (and my post is not saved).

Now, we've just changed broadband provider... so lets see if THIS post attempt works....

Our previous broadband system was part of a routed network, with dynamically switched backbones (e.g. alternating between BT, TalkTalk, Virgin, and - for all I know - Turkmenistan Broadband Corporation) - as network bandwidth dictated. Hence I might sign in routed through BT, create a post via TalkTalk, and issue the "save" command via Virgin Media. All with different IP addresses.

Now that we're on BT, the problem seems to have gone away. ■
