More background is required eg.:
What is the tonnage of phosphate?
What other materials are carried and what is their tonnage?
Conveying distance and inclinations?
Loading and discharge geometry.
Choose an alternative conveying method if you can. ■

Conveying fine material at high speeds
Hi Experts!
I am working on a 3-roll Troughed Belt Conveyor Design. The conveyor is to be used for multiple product conveying.
The key concern is whether the conveyor speed is suitable for conveying fines.
The details are as follows:
1. Fine Material to be handled:Rock Phosphate (150-250 Microns) / Bulk Density: 1.4 T/m3
2. Belt Width: 2200mm
3. Tentative Belt Speed: 4.9 m/s
The CEMA (VI) does not permit transportation of fines at such high speeds. Please let me know whether the conveyor shall work without much of dust nuisance at the above-mentioned speed, or we need to reduce the speed.
If we have to reduce the speed, what should be the maximum possible belt speed?? Are there some latest studies in this regard?
Please enlighten!
Thanks in advance
